Meet Our Excellent Leaders
Dean Tracy (Lead Tutor)
Dean earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, cum laude, from UC San Diego. Having completed a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate coursework, he prides himself on being a well rounded educator, and has a total of seven years experience in the field. After teaching for Earl Warren College, he was the Assistant Director of a learning center for two years. This allowed him to gain considerable experience working with students of all grade levels. Dean strives to stay at the forefront of teaching pedagogy, so that he can provide the best education possible to his students. His published work on teaching pedagogy can be found in print and online in the journal Teaching Philosophy.
Devin Tracy (Lead Tutor)
Devin has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics from Pacific Lutheran University, where he minored in Statistics and had a strong emphasis on Economics. He also received his Teaching Certificate from Washington State three years after completing his Bachelors Degree. Devin has a decade of educational experience, which ranges from private tutoring, being a lead tutor in a tutoring center, Supplemental Instruction at College, Teaching on Special Assignment at Pierce Community College, two years of substitute teaching for Orting School District and Franklin Pierce School District, student teaching in Public Schools, teaching High School Mathematics at Muckleshoot Tribal School, and teaching High School Mathematics at Cascade Christian Private School.
In addition to this, Devin has cross cultural experience working with k-12 students as well as college students on short term mission trips to the first nation tribes of British Columbia Canada and working with an Ashram in West Bengal, India. This wide range of experience helps Devin relate to, and help, each and every student that he works with.
